Would you come to Comicon? and are you going to publish anytime soon?
Hello there! If you are referring to San Diego Comic-Con, the answer is likely not in the next few years. It is a very costly show to exhibit at, and I simply don’t have the resources at this time. However, there are many other shows we will be attending:
Calgary Comic Expo
April 24th – 27th
May 16 – 18th
June 6 – 8th
June 19 – 22nd
July 10 – July 13th
There will be at least two others; but as we are under a guest contract we can’t announce them until they have published our appearance. You can keep up to date on our appearances here: http://www.amyachronicles.com/about/conventions
As for publishing, we do already have three single editions out! However, we are gearing up for a kickstarter to fund the printing of our first collected volume, which will be launching in the next few weeks.
A copic commission of the main character from the webcomic The Amya Chronicles! Check it out, it is gorgeous!
Check out this amazing Faye art by Mindy! And don’t forget to check out her comic 'White Noise'.
Savannah Houston-McIntyre & Andrew Hewitt are coming to ConnectiCon 2014!
Savannah was born in the quaint year of 1987; and has been a writer ever since. She currently lives in the magical town of Stratford Ontario, and loves nothing more than to sit by the river and watch the swans go by as she plots in her notebooks. She has been publishing her work alongside her co-writer, Andrew Hewitt, for five years.
Savannah and Andrew are most known for their work on the popular webcomic titled Amya. Savannah acts as the lead writer and creator of the series, and Andrew is credited as a co-writer. Amya is a high-fantasy series following the adventures of Faye, mute spell-touched who has nightmarish visions of the end of the world. In her waking days she lives an idyllic life as the daughter of a great noble, but all that changes when a fateful encounter with a young man sends her on the adventure of a lifetime, and spiralling towards her role in the forthcoming apocalypse. Accompanied by her unlikely companions, she must decide if she wishes to sacrifice her humanity to save the world; or the world to save her humanity.
Guest announcement! We will be at ConnectiCon this year. I hope to see some of you there!
Silenna “Lenna” Gardane of Amya Chronicles written by Savannah Houston-McIntyre and Andrew Hewitt with illustrations by Rebecca Gunter-Ryan
One of the aspects of Lenna’s character I admire most is how seamlessly she transitions from guerrilla fighter to Faye’s bodyguard—-and without ever really being asked to. Verily, she’s one of the most well-balanced characters I’ve ever seen in terms of both her role in the narrative and her role within the party. She’s quick and stealthy yet still physically imposing. Serious and competent, but maintains a light sense of humor. Muscular and athletic without being pumped or ripped. Strong and battle-hardened without sacrificing her beauty or femininity.

Hello everyone! You should read the full blog post. It’s a wonderfully thoughtful look at Silenna’s character! Many thanks to heroineimages for the write-up!

The final page of Chapter Four! I hope you’re all enjoying the story so far. Chapter five will be mid-next week. Until then we will be posting guest art.
A poster for Amya and my 100th post on tumblr!
Rebecca has done a wonderful job on our new poster! If you are interested in having it as a wallpaper, please check out our Patreon page, where it is available to anyone who has pledged at the $1 tier or above (That’s only $12 a year to support our work!). There are a number of other Amya wallpapers available as well!
A few months back, we were asked to join a group called Reverie Comics. You may have noticed the link exchange on the right side of our website. In their own words:
"Reverie is a collective of webcomic artists aiming to produce top-quality fantasy and sci-fi works. These artists share a common vision of sharing their stories through long form comic media."
Recently, we considered creating a weekly podcast discuss a business or creative theme, and one webcomic on a rotational basis from within the collective.
So, this is when I turn things to our watchers. What topics would you like to be addressed in the podcast? Feel free to comment or send us a note. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated!
More information about Reverie and the podcast will follow.
My dear followers, please let us know what topics you would like to see! RTs greatly appreciated. :)
Happy Valentine’s Day. <3
